The church was built in 1885 at the behest of the of the lawyer Vincenzo Luparia. Its first function was being a private oratory, as the mosaic family crest on the floor demonstrates. This neoclassic circular church moved into the hands of the Parish in 1913. It has recently been restored and it is mostly used by the community in winter.
