The church is set on the hill, right next to the historical center. It was probably built in the XVI century as a chaplaincy and a hermitage. Foundlings were abandoned under the atrium of the church.
On the bell tower there is a bell with the inscription: “1373 a fulgore tempestate libera nos domine” (Oh Lord, protect us from the lightening and the hailstorm). Inside the church there are some frescoes, which date back to the XIX century. The external façade has been recently restored. On the 15th of August we celebrate the Solemnity of the Assumption.
It is a private building and there is also an underlying Infernot, which you can visit on request.
