Information | Rosignano Monferrato has a lot of typical hamlets, born through centuries of history, which are located on the hills, such as Garriano, Berroni, Castagnoni, Valmasia, Reali, Stodine, Varacca, with landscapes that are to be admired. |
“Il Consortile” is the old name given by the inhabitants of Rosignano to the Provincial Route 42, which – going through the Valle Ghenza – offers a beautiful panoramic view of the Chief-village, which is set on the top of a tuff spur and of the Alps, which stand out on the skyline. This route represents the access to the wide hinterland of Rosignano, which is rich in typical hamlets, which have risen up over the centuries, along the rural streets, which still run along fertile and farmed areas or pleasant valleys, which are rich in flora and fauna.
This beautiful landscape never looks the same, its colors and scents haven’t lost their original brightness and fragrance. This infinite variety renews itself as time goes by.
And then, there are the hamlets of Garriano and Berroni, Valmasia and Reali, Castagnoni and Varacca, where some old houses have been restored for new inhabitants. Next to these new houses, you can still see typical farmsteads, which are still functioning, and some old oratories, whose origins are lost in time.
Points of interest: Chiesetta dell’Annunciata, San Pietro in Vincoli Church, Località Castagnoni, Cascina Pappalarda. For further information you can visit the page “Vivere il comune – Cosa vedere”.
