Among the typical dishes you can find the “Csenta” and “Friciulin”.
“Csenta” is the typical bread of the feast and it has been the linchpin and the essence of the local nutrition for ages. The main ingredients are flour (since almost every family had this product in large amounts), crunchy and tasty greaves, extracted from lard and walnuts (a true resource, since you can easily find nuts on the sides of vineyards).
“Friciulin” are typical little meatballs. Once they were made of wild herbs, like dandelion, poppy and nettle, together with some meat. As time went by we started using herbs, like the beet, together with spinach and cooked salami, which replaced meat.
